Please don't delete. This article needs some work but Bang Bang was a real and beloved character in Dublin. One (unverified) idea is that his mental illness resulted in his service in the first world war. There are many references to him in Irish culture and histories of the middle of the twentieth century. Perhaps someone could help this article? Rpersse 23:44, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm very glad to see that this article wasn't deleted. He was a very well-known character, with a much higher profile than many politicians. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 22:59, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
