There was a mistake in this article previously. It said the band was formed in 1951, it was actually founded in 1938, I know this because I own their 60th annyversary album, and inside the booklet that came with the cd it tells you all kinds of interesting facts.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.205.186.221 (talk • contribs).

[edit] Title

Why does the title use the article "la"? --Rockero 05:36, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] La Banda Sinaloense

I'm from Sonora, México and speak spanish. I never ear this expression (La Banda Sinaloense) in relation with this band only. This name is used to refer to any band or the musical genre. Is possible than earing "La Banda Sinaloense" in a specific context to refer to this band as the best. The article "La" is used as superlative with the correct context, but no is a common name for this band.

A nickname for La Banda del Recodo is "La Mamá de todas las bandas" (The Mom Of All Bands) o "La Madre de Todas las Bandas" (The Mother Of All Bands)- Xammoh Pacheco - 30 January 2007 - 14:42 GMT
