[edit] Beast Wars

Bantor is one of the Maximals from Beast Wars, and his beast form is a mix of mandrill and tiger. He did not appear in the television series.

Bantor is described as a temperamental and solitary demolitional expert. [1]

[edit] Animated series

Bantor's stasis pod was presumably among those who were launched into orbit around prehistoric Earth in the series Beast Wars pilot.

[edit] IDW Publishing

He appeared in the 2006 IDW Beast Wars comic series. He was among the Maximal protoforms from the Axalon. He was activated and put in chronal phase by Razorbeast at Magmatron's request, but was protected from Magmatron's Predacon shell-program by Razorbeast's viral code. [2]

Soon after awakening, he joined up with K-9, Torca, Stinkbomb, Armordillo, and Noctorro. During their journey to meet up with Razorbeast, Torca got stuck in a tar pit and needed the help of his new traveling companions to free him.

After following Razorbeast's signal for days, and picking up more Maximals along the way, Bantor joined the battle with the Predacons. After winning the united group awaited rescue from Cybertron.

In Beast Wars: The Ascending Armordillo, B'Boom, Bantor, Buzzclaw, Cybershark, Lazorbeak, Manterror, Optimus Minor, Powerpinch, Ramulus, Razorbeast, Retrax, Scuba, Sky Shadow, Spittor, Stinkbomb and Terragator were wounded in battle and left on Earth. Together they fought and defeated the Blendtrons Drancron, Elephaorpha and Rartorarta. Although Razorbeast survived the battle he was infected with Rartorarta's maddening sting and had to be put down by Optimus Minor to stop him from attacking his allies.

[edit] 3H Enterprises

Although there was no toy of Bantor in the Transformers: Universe toy line, the character appeared in the Transformers: Universe comic book. In Issue #3 he was oddly portrayed as a member of the Maximal High Council.

With the closure of 3H the Transformers: Universe comic was canceled.
