Bansda, (also Vansda) covering an area of 557 km² and currently a part of Gujarat, was one of the Princely states of India during the period of the British Raj. The state was founded by Virsinhji in 1781, and was acceded to India on 10th June 1948. The native state belonging to the Surat agency had an area, 215 sq. m. Pop. (1901) 40,382, ; estimated revenue £19,508. Its chief is a rajput.
Currently, Vansda is a part of Navsari District.
