Benjamin Banneker High School is a four-year public high school located in College Park, Georgia. It is one of fourteen public high schools in the Fulton County School System.[1]

Enrollment in grades 9-12 for the 2006-2007 school year was 1550 students.
The current interim principal is Robert Williams.
School colors are red and gray, and the mascot is the "Trojans".[2].
[edit] Banneker's Mission
The mission of Banneker High School is to provide students opportunities for learning through a technologically enhanced environment with a focus on striving for excellence and learning for life.
Offering college preparatory and career technology diplomas, Banneker prides itself on its use of technology to teach students and communicate with the community. Also, the school boasts a strong banking and finance department, as well as an industry-certified Business Management program.[3]

Banneker has the latest educational technology with computer labs, as well as computers in individual classrooms. These computers are linked to a systemwide computer network of educational programs, library access for data search, counseling services for scholarship searches and computerized career planning. Through the business education department, the school has developed a strong interest in banking and finance and offers students concentrated studies in those fields. [4]

Banneker HS formed from the merger of Feldwood HS and M.D. Collins High School in 1988. It is located on the grounds of the former Feldwood High School.
