Bangur Nagar

Bangur Nagar is a multicultural residential area in Goregaon, Mumbai, India. Like most localities, it has several schools (BNVB, Khalsa School, and Vivek Vidyalaya) and temples(Ram Mandir, Ayyappa Temple, Hanuman Mandir, and Kali Mata Mandir).
Most societies in this area are over 30 years old. Among the newer, more posh buildings is Vasant Galaxy.
Bangur Nagar is not very far from Goregaon Station.
Inorbit Mall (Mumbai Largest Mall), Hypercity (A World Class Hyper Market) and Mindspace (Home to nearly 25 MNC BPOs and KPOs) is a stone's throw from Bangur Nagar.

Manav Kalyan and Hariratan Society were the first two societies started in Bangur Nagar in 1970.There was no linking road.Bus no:262 was started that time from Hariratan Society to Goregaon Station. It was the time of Pakistan war. A time when one had to buy Britannia Bread by standing in line in a bakery called sofia opposite the bus stop. It was the time when Bombay Rava was given in grams in ration shops. It was the time when one had to struggle to get an extra milk bottle with blue or pink stripes for any festival. During the same period Topiwala and Samrat theatres were started.
