From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bangladesh national cricket team toured Australia in the 2003 season. They played 2 test matches and 3 One Day Internationals against Australia. The series marked the first time a Test Match had been played outside the state capital cities, with matches played at Bundaberg Rum Stadium in Cairns, and the newly upgraded Marrara Oval in Darwin.[1]

[edit] Test Series

Australia and Bangladesh contested a two match test series in Darwin and Carins. While the introduction of test cricket outside the state capital cities were welcomed by fans in the north of Australia, there were concerns that the gulf between the two teams would produce a lopsided contest.[2]

[edit] One Day Series

Australia won the ODI series 3-0.
