Bangladesh International School, commonly known as BIS, is a private school located in New DOHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is managed by the Station Headquarters, Dhaka Cantonment. The prime objective behind its creation is to serve the Bangladeshi and foreign communities in Dhaka city specially those living in DOHS, Cantonment area and its periphery.

Bangladesh International School had 3 principal shifts.The first and founder principal was Sufiur Rahman,the second principal was Ms. Sabiya Chowdhury, and the third and current principal is Ms Shaheen Ahmed.

The institution is currently following the national as well as the international curriculum of the University of London.

Students in the international curricullum are prepared for the GCE O Levels following the edexel syllabus. The subjects in the international curriculum are English, Bengali, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Biology, Computer science, Accounting, Economics, Commerce. The students may give the O Levels in Grade-X or Grade-IX

In national curricullum the students are prepared for giving the Secondary School Certificate(S.S.C] examinations.

Many of the students and teachers sometimes spend their time in the school library when they are free. There are many books in the library and the daily newspapers and magazines are updated everyday.

The school also has a quite well equipped science laboratory for carrying out experiments and observing them.

There is one common computer room for all the students. The computer room is mainly used for teaching.

There is a big field which is used as a handball and sometimes a football pitch as well as a cricket pitch. There is a volleyball/badminton court and use changes according to season(Winter-Badminton;Summer-Volley Ball).There are two outdoor basketball courts in the school for the students.There is also a small play area set aside for Kindergarten students which includes, slides, swings,monkey bars etc.

The School also has Cricket,Volleyball,Basketball and Handball Teams which play tournaments with other schools of Bangladesh.

The school has newly introduced a new rule to divide the all the students in the school into 4 houses:

1.Red, 2.Green, 3.Blue, and 4.Orange

All the necessery books can be found right in the canteen which is situated on the ground floor.Food is also available for the students.
