Bangarmau is located at 26.9° N 80.22° E.[1] It has an average elevation of 122 metres (400 feet).

Early in 1920's there were two main families of Bangarmau: the Chowdhury's and the Garg's.

As of 2001 India census,[2] Bangarmau had a population of 31,626. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%.
