Bang Gang is a band from Iceland. Bang Gang is often the musical alias of songwriter/producer Barði Jóhannsson who formed the band and lives in Reykjavík.
In 1998, Bang Gang scored a hit in Europe with "So Alone?", winning airplay on MTV Europe and resulting in the release of the debut full-length, You.[1] They have released 2 full-length albums, and at least 2 independent EPs and 7"s since 1998. The most recent release was 2003's Something Wrong.[2] Bang Gang was named SPIN Band of the Day on May 24, 2007,[3] and performed in the United States that year as well, in New York[4] and at SXSW.[5]

The third album from Bang Gang has the working title Ghosts From The Past. The first single I know you sleep' has been released on their Myspace page[6]. The album will be released in 2008.
