The banded guitarfish, mottled guitarfish, prickly skate, or striped guitarfish (Zapteryx exasperata) is a species of fish in the Rhinobatidae family. It is found in Mexico, the United States, possibly Colombia, possibly Costa Rica, possibly Ecuador, possibly El Salvador, possibly Guatemala, possibly Nicaragua, possibly Panama, and possibly Peru. Its natural habitats are shallow seas, subtidal aquatic beds, and coastal saline lagoons.
