The Band-tailed Sierra-finch (Phrygilus alaudinus) is a species of bird in the Emberizidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.
