Bancharampur is located at 23.7778° N 90.8083° E . It has 43052 units of house hold and total area 217.38 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Bancharampur has a population of 258371. Males constitute are 50.93% of the population, and females 49.07%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 120882. Bancharampur has an average literacy rate of 20.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
