Banatski Despotovac (Банатски Деспотовац) is a village in Serbia. It is located in the Zrenjanin municipality, in the Central Banat District, Vojvodina province. The village has a Serb ethnic majority and its population numbering 1,620 people (2002 census).

In Serbian, the village is known as Banatski Despotovac or Банатски Деспотовац, in Hungarian as Ernőháza, and in German as Ernesthausen.

Its name derived from Serbian word "despot" (a Medieval ruling title), while word "banatski" refer to its location in the region of Banat in the contrast to the town of Despotovac located in Central Serbia.
