The Banana Pipistrelle (Neoromicia nanus) is a species of vesper bat in the Vespertilionidae family. It can be found in the following countries: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It is found in these habitats: subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, dry savanna, moist savanna, and plantations .
