Banática is a locality in the parish of Caparica and the municipality of Almada, Portugal. It is not actually more what an inhabitant nucleus which refers to a parish. It is the first port on the Tejo, thje parish. Secondly the specialists in toponomy in the name came from the Arabic origin that signified the prince. The locality features an oil refinery, it also has a recreative club by the name Clube Recreativo e Desportivo de Banática.
