Wikitext language or wiki markup is a markup language that offers a simplified alternative to HTML and is used to write pages in wiki websites such as Wikipedia. The 2008 Formula One season is almost underway in the relaxed atmosphere of Melbourne. There we will see what rivalries are in store, with everyone hoping that the championship will be just as close as last year. Recent Formula One news All of the F1 teams apart from Super Aguri have been taking part in the final full test of the off-season at the Circuit de Catalunya. Retired former champion Michael Schumacher was on hand to test the Ferrari F2008. [1] Super Aguri's future is hanging in the balance as talks continue with parent team Honda. [2] Ferrari's Italian court case against McLaren continues, with several of the British team's personnel being questioned. [3]

Royal Rumble (2005), Over the Edge (1998), and Vengeance (2005) have been listed for Peer review. Please review these articles and make suggestions for how they can be improved in preparation for a Good article nomination. Their peer reviews can be found here, here and here.
Dawn Marie Psaltis, Lisa Marie Varon, and Unforgiven (2004) have been elevated to Good article status.
Don Kent (wrestler), Jos LeDuc, New Year's Revolution (2007), Ricky Banderas, SummerSlam (1994), SummerSlam (2007), No Way Out (2007) and Unforgiven (2005) are currently Good article candidates.

Current Events

Ron Killings is still being reported as having signed a WWE contract. As there is no reliable source for anything of the sort, be prepared for his name to be continually added to the WWE Roster article, and information about his return being added to his article. There is also, apparently, an audio interview with Killings where he states he will be returning to WWE with his old K-Kwik gimmick. Recent SmackDown! taping spoilers indicate that Killings has already debuted under the name Kwik Killings in a Dark match. However, no reliable source for this information has been found yet.

Current Events

Jeff Hardy was suspended by WWE for 60 days on March 11 for violating WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Policy. On March 14, he lost his home in, Cameron, North Carolina, late friday night due to a fire. Fire Department officials currently cannot confirm what was the cause of the fire. Reports also say that Jeff's brother, Matt Hardy, saw smoke coming out of Jeff's house. RAW Commentator, Jim Ross, reports on his blog, "He lost essentially every thing he had and most sadly his dog".
On March 14, Vince McMahon was honored into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Triple H: King of Kings-There is Only One, a WWE Home Video DVD, will be released on March 25, 2008.

Year I - Issue 3 - April 2008

The Current Improvement Drive is Juan Manuel Fangio.

The 2008 Formula One season is underway. With the relaxing atmosphere of the first round at Melbourne (where Lewis Hamilton won with Nick Heidfeld second and a superb Nico Rosberg in third after a very eventful race with only seven drivers finishing) behind us, the focus then shifted to Malaysia. A superior Kimi Räikkönen got back on track with a great win; Robert Kubica and Heikki Kovalainen finished in distant second and third places followed by a tremendous Jarno Trulli and unlucky Lewis Hamilton in fourth and fifth places respectively. Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso, David Coulthard and Jenson Button all showed their teams' strong improvements and performances in seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth respectively. The two Grands Prix have shown all the rivalries we will be seeing during the season and how dependent the results are on the removal of traction control and engine braking. Current Events

At WrestleMania XXIV, Shawn Michaels defeated Ric Flair after executing the Sweet Chin Music, which as a result, meant that Ric Flair was forced to retire from professional wrestling. The next night, at Flair's retirement ceremony on Raw, Triple H congratulated Flair for his 35 year career, and brought out retired and current superstars to thank him. Michaels, and the whole WWE roster came out later to thank him as well.
The Undertaker defeated Edge to become the new World Heavyweight Champion forcing him to submit to the Gogoplata. During the pyro celebration for Undertaker's 16-0 streak, a freak accident occurred just before WrestleMania went off-air. During the pryo shooting to the entrance stage, a firework went to the upper-level section of the crowd on top. Forty-five fans were injured, and currently, WWE is trying to investigate what was the cause of the pyrotechnic malfunction
Cryme Tyme returned to WWE on March 31, during Raw, defeating Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch.
Matt Hardy also returned on Raw, attacking Randy Orton from behind, and later having a match with Orton.

On the April 21 edition of Raw, the King of the Ring tournament will return for one night only. The entire tournament will take place on Raw.
Mick Foley made a appearance in the new film, Anamorph.

Year I - Issue 4 - May 2008

Honda made significant changes to the RA108.

The first flyaway stages of the 2008 season have come to a close with Bahrain, where Felipe Massa, Rubens Barrichello, Jarno Trulli and Giancarlo Fisichella drove storming races to 1st, 11th, 6th and 12th respectively. Robert Kubica also looked impressive (especially during qualifying), and looks for BMW Sauber to be in championship contention. The unfortunate Lewis Hamilton finished in 13th, losing the championship lead to Kimi Räikkönen. Jenson Button (who retired) had a race to forget after a qualifying session to remember. Then most of the cars got updated and the teams tested their first 2009-spec cars in tests at the Circuit de Catalunya. In a probable look into the future of Formula One design, Renault used RBR's idea of a 'shark fin' on the airbox and the teams looking into the 2009 regulations, including the planned introduction of slick tyres. Honda tried a 'dumbo wing' on the car's nosecone and every other team tried to improve. Super Aguri lost their deal with the Magma Group after the planned buyout last month fell through, but did make it to the Spanish GP; SA's future is in the air again and still looking poor. The Spanish GP got underway with the hope that the adaptions will give new teams chances to win or get in the points. Fernando Alonso starred in qualifying by setting a provisional pole position time just before Kimi Räikkönen took it away by 0.091s.: Toyota have made a jump from their slot at 11th-12th on the grid to clear points positions.

McLaren didn't have a nice time with fifth and sixth places, in addition to David Coulthard who could only manage 17th after having a bad last lap. The Circuit de Catalunya saw Kimi Räikkönen take the glory with Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton finishing in second and third places respectively. Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella all drove one of their most best races, with Kazuki Nakajima also showing that he and WilliamsF1 are worth their stay in Formula One. Heikki Kovalainen had a nasty crash, causing a prolonged Safety Car period. He was rushed to hospital for checks; thankfully he was announced to have no serious injuries. Toro Rosso had a race to forget after both their cars were crashed out by other drivers. At the start of the season the FIA threatened the cancellation of the Spanish and European GPs if racism continued in Spain after after hearing of the racial abuse directed at McLaren's Lewis Hamilton while he was testing the MP4-23 at Barcelona during Winter testing. Driver of the Month
Ayrton Senna

Ayrton Senna (da Silva) is most known for his push to win, much the same as Gilles Villeneuve. Senna is a three time Formula One Champion, winning in 1988, 1990, and 1991. Many people have compared Senna to Juan Manuel Fangio, who is known as "The Master" of Formula One. Senna is a Brazilian, and raced for Toleman, Lotus, McLaren, and Williams. Statistically, he is among the greatest ever, with 41 wins and 65 pole positions. His then-record of 65 pole positions was broken by Michael Schumacher in the 2006 San Marino Grand Prix. His rivalry with Alain Prost is among the most legendary in Formula One, going as far as Senna colliding with Prost in the first turn of Suzuka in 1990, giving Senna the title. Tragically, Senna died during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix when his Williams left the track at high speed, hitting the concrete retaining wall at around 135 mph. No driver since has been killed while driving a Formula One car. His skill in wet weather and bad conditions has made him stand out among other drivers. Where most people would choose to drive conservatively, to avoid causing a crash, Senna would still push his hardest. Following the death of Senna (and Roland Ratzenberger), many safety improvements have been made. What could possibly be better than his on-the-track skills was what he did off the track. His character and attitude has made him a legend among F1 fans. Nominated by Sage Callahan

Matt Hardy defeated MVP and became the new United States Champion.
The Undertaker had the World Heavyweight Championship taken from him on the May 2 episode of SmackDown!.

Okay, judging by your past conversations, I can see you want the HTML taken off because when you put your signature, a whole bunch of letters and numbers come out, and when you check off the raw signature box, it tells you to check the HTML tags. The same thing happened to me when I tried to get my signature changed. I'll have to make a signature page. However, it'll be under your user name. Hopefully, I'm not warned by Wikipedia about it. L.A.X. won the vacated TNA World Tag Team Championship as a result of defeating Team 3D in the Deuces Wild tournament final at TNA Sacrifice.

Project News

Backlash (2006), Insane Clown Posse, Judgment Day (2005), Judgment Day (2007), Royal Rumble (2005), and Survivor Series (2005) have been elevated to Good Article status.

SummerSlam (2007) (link) and SummerSlam (1988) (link) have been nominated for Featured Article status.

Backlash (2007), One Night Stand (2007), Paul London, Royal Rumble (2005), The Great American Bash (2007), The Rock (entertainer) and Unforgiven (2006) are currently Good article candidates.

Over the Edge (1999) failed it's Good article nomination, though, it has been reassessed here.

Current Events

Darren Matthews (William Regal) was suspended by WWE for 60 days for breaching the Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy.

The 2008 WWE Draft was announced by World Wrestling Entertainment chairman, Vince McMahon, to take place on June 23, 2008.

At One Night Stand, Randy Orton suffered a broken collarbone during his Last man standing match with Triple H.

Also, at One Night Stand, Edge won the World Heavyweight Championship in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match defeating The Undertaker. Per the pre-match stipulation, Undertaker was kayfabe forced to leave WWE.

The Month in Wrestling History

May 23, 1999 - Owen Hart died in a tragic fall during Over the Edge.
May 21, 2000 - Triple H defeated The Rock for the WWF Heavyweight title.
May 22, 2000 - Vince Russo stripped Ric Flair of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and awarded it to Jeff Jarret.
May 17, 2002 - "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith died of a heart attack.
May 19, 2004 - Ron Killings won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
