As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Bamna has a population of 65965. Males constitute are 49.64% of the population, and females 50.36%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 33808. Bamna has an average literacy rate of 46.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
