Bamburian is a Panda-type Zoid, one of over 200 species of biomechanical lifeforms depicted by TOMY's Zoids model, toy, and media franchise. Based on the Bear Fighter Zoid, the Bamburian is unique to the Zoids: Genesis anime and the related Genesis model line, and is one of the seven protagonist Zoids.

[edit] Overview

A compact Zoid resembling a panda. Armed with a set of curved blades on either shoulder, it has excellent turning capabilities. It also carries a set of multi-purpose rockets resembling bamboo shoots on its back. These can be fired to create a smokescreen, or a set of projectiles that release glowing crystal-like shards that impale attacking Zoids.

The upgraded Bamburian also has a pair of lances named Grand Star, able to extend outwards similar to the Bio-Tricera's, though the capabilities of the other upgrades are still unknown.

[edit] Genesis

Ron's first Bamburian was used to distract Bio Volcano in an altercation and the self destruct sequence was activated to give Ruuji and Mii enough time to run. The zoid was destroyed in combat, but not the pilot, and Ron recovered his "spare" Bamburian afterwards.

[edit] Genesis

Released on July 21, 2005, the Bamburian model kit is a heavily remoulded Bear Fighter, a decision by TOMY to save the cost of designing a completely new Zoid.[1] It is also the only Zoid in the Genesis series with a wind-up motor.[1]

The Zoid has several features. The 11 missiles can be fired, as well as the two shoulder-mounted swords.[1] The model retains the Bear Fighter's ability to change between quadrupedal and bipedal mode.[1]

The Grand Star lances were later released along with the Soul Tiger's Soul Booster. Equiping the Grand Star lances severly limits the Bamburian's ability to walk
