Bama Gruppen is a 's largest wholesaler of fruit, vegetables, potatoes and berries. The company has five divisions: retail, industry, institutions, kiosk/fuel/service and flowers. On the retail market it delivers produce to the two wholesalers Norgesgruppen and Reitangruppen. The corporation was founed in 1886 when Christian Marius Emil Matthiessen, often called Banana-Matthiessen, started import of fruits. Bama is the main sponsor of the Norway national football team.
