A new WikiProject focussing on Anglicanism and the Anglican Communion has just been initiated: WikiProject Anglicanism. Our goal is to improve and expand Anglican-reltaed articles. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:St Mary Virgin.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:St Mary Virgin.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:42, 7 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne

Hello Sean, I am a member of the congregation at St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne. Thank you for adding the service times to the article. However, I have changed the word Mass to Eucharist, as I think it is more helpful to use the terms that are used in the Cathedral's official publications. While some of us at the Cathedral are Anglo-Catholic and refer to it as the Mass in private, it's not common usage among most of the people there. Claudine C. (talk) 11:49, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] D&D wiki project consensus

A call to all members of the D&D wiki project. We are currently having a major dispute that needs to be settled by all members of the D&D wiki project. The dispute is as follows. 1. Should we put disambiguation tags on D&D articles preemptively or should we wait until there is an article conflict with some other Wikipedia article. Vote on preemptive or wait.

2. What should we label these tags? Example "child's play (module)", or "child's play (adventure)" and at this point we are taking all suggestions.

email me at Dm2ortiz@aol.com or post on the D&D wiki project talk page Dm2ortiz 13:37, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ptosis (breasts)

Please come to the Talk page for discussion, rather than reinstating your edits. There are no sources provided, and some of the content goes outside the scope of the article. Thank you. Joie de Vivre T 11:51, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi, there. I don't want you to feel unwelcome at an article because of me. That's not a situation I want to perpetuate. I am used to editing articles where people edit pretty aggressively. If you want to expand on the topic of breast ptosis, you should feel free to do so. The main problem I was having is that ptosis was being presented as though it were a deformity that required surgical "correction". Just be mindful of WP:NPOV. I will make a greater effort to communicate on the Talk page with you. OK? Joie de Vivre T 03:43, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
  • It IS a deformity, or rather a medical problem that "can" require surgical correction. All the women close to me in my life have been big women (BBWs), and if they had large breasts they all suffered from this problem as they got older. It seems that the bigger the boobs the greater the chance for ptosis as women mature into middle-age. Most women with large or very large breasts will suffer from this problem, what is bizzare is the young women that suffer from this condition. It is a medical problem that is more harm to their self-image then to their health, but is still a problem.--Lord Balin 10:08, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
P.S. - About the images: you uploaded two or three different breast photos, and claimed you took them yourself. Do you work in photography? They were photos of different women and appeared to have been taken in different settings with different cameras. Did you really take all of those photos yourself? Joie de Vivre T 03:46, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
  • One picture I took as a photograph of my wife, the other was of an old gf I used to date several years ago, then I had a drawing. But thats OK, I'm going to stick to my history and my Catholic subjects.--Lord Balin 10:00, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for getting back to me. In case you decide to edit the article again...

My opinion is that breast ptosis is not a deformity; it happens to all female bodies with breasts that protrude, as they age. A cleft palate is a deformity. Scoliosis is a deformity. Breast ptosis is a natural part of aging and is no more a "deformity" than wrinkles or grey hair. The individual may personally be displeased with it and may wish to go about body modification for their own purposes, but their own psychological desire for breasts that do not droop does not make the condition in every instance a "deformity" that "requires correction". The condition does not "require" correction outside of their mind, and the "suffering" is psychological in nature.

The two earlier examples do actually require intervention. Cleft palate can interfere with the ability to eat and speak. Scoliosis can interfere with mobility and cause painful degeneration of the spine. These are actual deformities which require correction. Ptotic breasts do not "require" mastopexy any more than small ones "require" implants.

Again, if you want to do anything to the article, please don't let me stop you. All I ask is that you talk about mastopexy as an option, not something that ptotic breasts require. Joie de Vivre T 12:49, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talk page guidelines

Please do not edit your previous comments after someone has replied to them, as you did in this edit. That is discouraged at WP:TPG; where it says "Changing or deleting comments after someone replied is likely to cause problems, because it will put the reply in a different context." I have placed the links you added at the bottom of the page. Feel free to add a signature or text. Joie de Vivre T 02:46, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please use edit summaries

Hello. Please be courteous to other editors and use edit summaries when updating articles. The Mathbot tool shows your usage of edit summaries to be extremely low:

Edit summary usage for Balin42632003: 22% for major edits and 1% for minor edits. Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.

Using edit summaries helps other editors quickly understand your edits, which is especially useful when you make changes to articles that are on others' watchlists. Thanks and happy editing! --Kralizec! (talk) 12:02, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Hall Seal.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Hall Seal.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:54, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] October 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Neo-druidism. Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. You also provided no rationale for these deletions. Please use edit summaries. Thanks! - Kathryn NicDhàna 21:50, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Anglo-Catholic Churches, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised.
