• Balu Mahendra is one of the greatest directors in India.
• Only a director of Balu Mahendra's genius and range could come up with a movie as unique as Moondram Pirai as well as Sathi Leelavathi and Julie Ganapathy.

[edit] He is worth these lines

He is one of the classical directors in south india. You shall not find more about him on Google, but people in south india especially Tamil knows well about his talents. His latest films may be bombed at box-office, but he has given some great films in his early days of his career and they are still conisdered as classics of Indian Cinema. --M.arunprasad 06:46, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
