History Expansion

The history section of this page is a bit hazy and the description of the roads etc is a little bit flowery as it implies that the area is an area with a wide vista of roads and paths which it is not. It is a typical cork suburb and I suspect that the original text is taken from some other web page. I intend to dig up the full history of the area and expand this and the Friars Wlak area which does not have a page but is deep in history being so close to the city centre and having it's famous tower. I removed the Request for Expansion tag as I have added a lot of information (with an image to follow) so I do not think it is still valid. However if the person who judges these things think I did this in error please feel free to add. I left cleanup alone as it could do with a cleanup :-) BustOut

I think the author is confusing Lennox's chipper Ballyphehane with that of Jackie Lennox in Bandon Road. the Lennoxes were brothers bur I have only ever heard of the Bandon Road fish adn chip shop mentioned in dispatches Durrus
