Desert Rat term ; I initially deleted it because it seemed a derogatory description of residents of the Mojave Desert. After reading the desert rat article and the talk page, there doesn't seem to be a consensus as to this being an endearing term. The discussion suggest that it's a "...put down by some - especially Angelenos..." That is enough to suggest "desert rat" is not widely viewed as a compliment. I recoment re-wording that section to ... "and a few other desert enthusiasts" or something less controversial. Marriedtofilm 29:41, Sep 29, 2004 (UTC)
