Could the person who is changing the entry for Baldwinsville from "The village has a mayor and a village board." to "The village has a mayor, a village board, and Sean P. Harrigan." please explain this change.

I have changed it back once and now you have changed it back.

Please explain.

[edit] Village Beginnings

  • Some of the information in this article is suspect and is at odds with other sources. It is possible that some of the contributors are making a little game here. Stepp-Wulf 02:34, 25 November 2006 (UTC).
  • Could you please identify which items are at odds with other sources, and give the sources? As I live in the village it should be easy to verify. Alucard (Dr.) 15:43, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Thanks for looking into this. I was particularly concerned because one historical source said the village was founded by Dr. Baldwin, before he moved to Fairmont. I'm glad to see someone in your area is working on these articles, maybe you would like to look over the new additions I've been making and correct my errors. Thanks. Stepp-Wulf 05:06, 26 November 2006 (UTC).
  • Ah ok - yes, I saw something different in another place and had wondered - the other source seemed like a more simplified version- Baldwin and his wife seem certainly responsible for the growth of the settlement into a real community, but it appears that there was something there before they arrived. The source for this version was the B'ville Chamber of Comerce website. I will have to take a trip to the library and find out more at some stage. Alucard (Dr.) 13:01, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
  • OK, I have changed the wording to try to make it a little less ambiguous, based on the Chamber of Commerce website - please let me know if this reads a little more consistently with the other sources. Thanks for bringing this up. Alucard (Dr.) 13:08, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Thanks for improving this article. I was wondering if Baldwinsville had another name before it became "Baldwinsville." Don't hesitate to check out the other local articles I have worked Stepp-Wulf 01:31, 27 November 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Brewery Water Source

I can confirm that it is local well water - Doctor Baldwinsville I am given to understand that the Anheuser Busch brewery uses local well water, not water from Lake Ontario. Someone please help resolve this. Thank you Doctorfixit 15:26, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
