Talk:Baldwin, Hoar & Sherman family
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Do we really need all of this detail here? That's what the main articles are for. RickK 00:34, May 3, 2005 (UTC)
- It's very nearly a candidate to move/delete/whatever... Alphax τεχ 14:42, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
- IMO, 75% of the material at List of U.S. political families#The Baldwin, Evarts, Hoar & Sherman family should go here. Then much of the detail in that material could go into articles on the individuals. older≠wiser 15:08, July 31, 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with re-write or simplification. I'm adding it to my to do list, but low priority, which means I should get to do it around 2008 ;-), so feel free to fix it first. Lou I 19:27, 7 August 2005 (UTC)
- Additionally it is riddled with errors. -
- In fairness, given how poorly the search engine for Wikipedia functions, having all of this information on one convenient page is very helpful in seeing how the various people are associated with and inter-related to one another.
- The level of detail isn't bothersome to me, but the format is hard to read. Wandering Star 20:59, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- I removed Henry Baldwin Harrison, John Brown Baldwin and Simeon Baldwin Chittenden, pending additional verification of geneological data. Additional information can be found on my blog at http://inaaronsopinion.blogspot.com/
I would be happy to discuss any revisions or edits with anyone who agree on the proposed edits and structure. Thank you.. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AaronB0413 (talk • contribs) March 8, 2006.
Keep For someone trying to get a sense of how the Sherman and Hoar families related over the 1700s and 1800s, this is a great sketch to learn more, and hard to find out by reading all of the articles. Yellowdesk 05:07, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Is there a simpler format that this could be put in? Does wikipedia have a family tree setup, or should I rebuild this in Photoshop and put it up here? Firebringervt (talk) 17:26, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
