[edit] Fair use for Baltic Way
The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:
- it is a historically significant photo of a famous event;
- no free alternatives could be obtained or made;
- the original resolution was reduced to 40% (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality);
- the photo is only being used for informational and educational purposes;
- its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject of this article and illustrates:
- how many people participated in the event
- the logistics: free bus rides and cars parked along the roads
- the peacefulness of the protest. Renata 17:07, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use for Singing Revolution
Baltic way is part of singing revolution and a common event for all three Baltic states. Rationale displayed above applies.--Alexia Death the Grey 17:40, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
