Balwaan is a 1992 Bollywood action film drama directed by Deepak Anand. The film stars Sunil Shetty in his film debut, Divya Bharti and Danny Denzongpa. It premiered on September 11, 1992 in Mumbai.
Arjun Singh (Sunil Shetty) an honest but extremely poor man comes into conflict with Bhai (Danny Denzongpa), a notorious gangster. Bhai orders people in his community to alienate Arjun and his family to teach him a lesson. His sister is raped, and his mother passes away. Bhai captures Arjun captured but on escaping, he finds that he has been framed for murder and is arrested by the police. He must now prove his innocence as what little he has in his life has been taken away from him.
