Baltic Free Trade Area

The Baltic Free Trade Area (BAFTA) was a trade agreement between Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. It was signed on September 13, 1993 and came into force on April 1, 1994. The agreement was later extended to apply also to agricultural products, effective from January 1, 1997.
BAFTA ceased to exist when its members joined the EU on May 1, 2004.
