Ballyhoura Mountains

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ballyhoura Mountains / Bealach Fheabhradh cover south-east County Limerick and north-east County Cork in the Ireland.

The Cork side is largely afforested with commercial conifer but there are still extensive areas on the Limerick side that remain as open heathland and blanket bog. The mountains include Seefin Mountain (528 m), Black Rock, Co. Limerick (516 m) and Carron Mountain (c. 440 m).

A Mountain Bike Centre has been set up here in late 2007 and still has to fully open. It boasts a grand total of 90km of purpose-built singletrack.
