Ballyhale

Ballyhale (Baile Héil in Irish) is a village in County Kilkenny in Ireland. It is south of the city of Kilkenny.

Ballyhale is roughly half way between Kilkenny and Waterford.

There are 3 parishes that make up Ballyhale. They are Knocktopher, Knockmoylan and Ballyhale.

Ballyhale Shamrocks GAA are the local Gaelic Athletic Association club. Ballyhale Shamrocks are one of the most successful clubs in Ireland.

Ballyhale railway station opened on 1 January 1963, but finally closed on 2 January 1963.[1]

Scoil Phádraig is a mixed primary school located on the southern part of Ballyhale on the road towards Waterford. The old school building was built in 1948 and there was a new school added to this in 1993 with 6 classrooms.
