[edit] School inspection
A Department of Education (Northern Ireland) inspection carried out in October 2001 found that it "is a happy and welcoming school which enjoys the interest and strong support of its parents and governors. The staff form a hard-working team; together they have created a caring community and an attractive and orderly learning environment. The teachers relate to the children well and are committed to their well-being and development. They broaden the children’s experiences through providing, for example, clubs and educational visits, links with other schools and involvement in the local community". The children themselves are found to be "pleasant, courteous and respectful ... well motivated to learn and their behaviour around the school is exemplary". However, the report also concluded that "the children have insufficient opportunity to use ICT to enhance their learning across the curriculum". As a result the school has identified the area as a priority for development and it has plans to improve the children's experiences using ICT.
