Baldwin Girls High School (BGHS), founded in 1880[1], is one of the oldest[citation needed] schools in Bangalore India.
Baldwin Boys High School is the sister school for Baldwin Girls High School.
The colors of the school flag are white and blue.
The school follows the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education syllabus and has classes from Kindergarten to the 12 standard (grade). A women's’ first grade and degree college also occupy the premises. The school has an enrollment of around 4,500 students.

The school was established by the Methodist Episcopal Church, with a monetary grant from John Baldwin, Ohio, USA. It was known as the Episcopal Methodist School and was managed by a board of governors.

The House system is used in the Baldwin Girls High School. Each house has it own signature color which anecdotally matches the first letter of the house.
The High school girls (5std - 10std) houses are:
- Stephen- Red
- Laura Gill - Orange
- Watson - Blue
- Delima - Pink
- Benthein - Green
- Weston - Yellow
- Fisher - Purple
Most of the houses were named after former principals.
The Junior school girls (Jr1 - 4th std) houses are:
- Ruby- Red
- Coral - Orange
- Sapphire - Blue
- Garnet - Pink
- Emerald - Green
- Topaz - Yellow
- Amethyst - Purple
Most of these houses were named after precious stones.
