Danish Artist and Internet Pioneer Born April 4th,1966 in Virum/Copenhagen, Denmark

In 1982 Balder Olrik attended the Royal Danish Academy Of Art[1]at an age of 16 , the youngest ever accepted.

In 1983 he got a scholarship for Hochschule der Künste Berlin[2] (now: Universität der Künste) but left before completion, to return to Copenhagen and work as a Color Stylist on Valhalla, a Danish Animated Feature Film, and proceed with his studies at the Royal Danish Academy Of Art.

In 1985 He leaves the Royal Danish Academy Of Art to get his public break through with a series of dark wild figurative paintings. For the next 16 years he makes close to 100 exhibitions in Europe and USA and were at the time when he decided to terminate his artistic career, the most exhibited Danish artist in USA.

One of his last major works , was the pioneering internet artwork "The Incident" (1997 )[3],that most likely was the inspiration for "The Blair Witch Project"[4]

In 1998 He decides to stop all art activities and fully dedicate his creative skills to numerous internet projects. Most recognized, is probably his pioneering work with Viral Marketing [5] Balder is Co-founder and partner of GoViral[6] a leading International on-line brand activation agency
