Baktavachalam

Baktavachalam was the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who belonged to the Congress party and fought for independence of India. He took part in Salt Satyagraha march and was arrested.

Baktavachalam was born in Naserathpettai, a small village near Porur located near Chennai. He was a honest, sincere, simple politician who did not like popularity. He ruled after Kamaraj decided that he did not want be a chief minister.
