Bakewell Castle

Bakewell Castle was in the town of Bakewell, Derbyshire (grid reference SK221688).

It was a motte and bailey castle built in the 12th century. Now only the earthworks remain.[1][2]

Raised to the ground, as a consequence of the English Civil War.
