Baker Boyer Bank

Baker Boyer Bank A Walla Walla, Washington based financial institution, opened in 1869 becoming the first bank in what would become the State Of Washington.[1] It was started by Dr. D.S. Baker and John Boyer.[2] The Bank's current 7 story headquarters at the corner of 2nd And Main Streets in Downtown Walla Walla, was for a short time the tallest building west of the Mississippi.[3] In 1958, the Baker Boyer became the first Southeastern Washington Bank to open a branch office.[4] Long a symbol of Walla Walla Valley history, Megan Clubb, great great granddaughter of founder Dr. D.S. Baker is currently the president of the bank.[5]
