[edit] Tecate

I don't have the book, but certainly the Municipality of Tecate should be included, as this editorial by Dear and H. C. Lucero suggests? It seems highly implausible that Tecate would be left as a non-BC enclave in BC territory. -- Jao 08:57, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Neologism

I'm a little concerned that this sounds like WP:NEO. I have a hard time finding Google hits not directly related to the book, which by the way only has six quotations at Google Scholar, or to this article. If the term is almost only used in one book, then it's hardly notable. On the other hand, the concept itself is an important one, and usage of the term may well catch up if given time. I won't nominate this for deletion, but perhaps the lead could be rewritten so as to not give the impression that this is in some way an established term for the region (or if I am mistaken and there is a wider use, given proper citations for that use)? -- Jao 08:57, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Las Vegas? Phoenix??

Speaking as one who's driven from both Vegas & Phoenix to LA many times, it would be a big stretch to lump LV into "Bajalta", and an absurdity to include Phoenix. Lots of empty desert to drive through...

In general, I wonder if this article might better be retitled as about the book. I've redirected that title to here. Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 18:31, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
