[edit] ???

I am a lighter bike owner and thinking of buying a heavier bike for sometimes now.The power and pick-up of the Pulsar 180 has no doubt impressed everyone. But the structure of the bike is keeping me on tenterhooks.

Can't KB come out with a 180 or 170cc bike that has its legendary power but a natural, easy commuter bike structure? I am looking for something that will be comfortable on long journeys in double ride on the highway. And I am not impressed by their Sports bike marketing strategy. It gives a "different" feeling all right but in the bottom line it is not comfortable in long rides. That is simply a wastage of potential of the 180cc.

About Cruiser bikes of KB,the less said the better. Most reviews agree that they are difficult to control and turn in busy city traffic.I think KB will be even more successful if they pay some attention to utility and less to image.

[edit] Quality

there are some disputes bout the quality of this article has downgraded the bikes quality standard in a biased manner which is infact superior than most of it's competitor. (better than Honda Unicorn).

Many local auto magazines have rated the bike to be very efficient mostly because of it's smooth gearbox. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.94.233.105 (talk • contribs) 09:04, 2 September 2006

[edit] Cut stuff

I removed the following sections from the main part of the article:

Though Pulsar DTS-i has been selling well – it sold around 3.85 lakh in the last fiscal – Bajaj is eager to finish off the slower selling rival Hero Honda's Karizma, which has a 223 CC engine model, and is a slightly more powerful but very costly bike. The existing Pulsar comes fitted with two engine variants – 180 CC and 150 CC.

The new Pulsar with all these new features offers serious competition to its rival, Hero Honda Karisma which offers only 225 CC and 17bhp with no fuel injection or rear disc brake. Bajaj has outsold Hero Honda only in 100 cc and 150 cc segments because of their lower quality, ingeniously designed cheap bikes which always seem to have problem matching up with the high quality of Hero Honda bikes. The bikes sell only because they are much cheaper than the competition and are available at 0% interest rate. It would be interesting to see how capable the new Pulsar is against the Karisma in performance and endurance.

If someone wants to put a sction in regarding comparisons between the Bajaj Pulsar and Honda Karisma, feel free to put these back in, though they will need to be more NPOV.

[edit] External links improvement

Can we get more authoritative links? Whoever put the blog together is doing a fine job but where did he get his information? Links to blogs are discouraged per WP:EL, original press info and/or manufacturer's specs would be much better. -- Brianhe 02:21, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wrong year in the main picture

This picture is of my bike which is a September 2004 150 DTSi model... how can it become 2007 model!! Reverting to the original model year. If you have a new picture, pls change it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Viveksinha in (talkcontribs) 02:52, 11 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Technology????

I agree with the info about DTSi and Exhaustec technology in Pulsar article, but Fuel Injection? It seems out of place in a bike article which is not even using it (as of 10 April 2007, Pulsar DTS-Fi is not launched). I think another article needs to be dedicated for the same instead of putting it in this article. Chintu rohit 16:49, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
