Bajpe is a census town in located close to Mangalore city in Dakshina Kannada district in the state of Karnataka, India. It around 18 km from the heart of the city of Mangalore.,The Mangalore International Airport is located at Bajpe and is popularly known as the Bajpe Aerodrome.

As of 2001 India census[1], Bajpe had a population of 8032. Males constitute 48% of the population and females 52%. Bajpe has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 50% of the males and 50% of females literate. 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
