Bajitpur is located at 24.2167° N 90.9583° E . It has 35051 units of house hold and total area 193.76 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Bajitpur has a population of 197081. Males constitute are 50.49% of the population, and females 49.51%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 91866. Bajitpur has an average literacy rate of 22.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
