I'm a little confused (and amused) by the sentence stating that the shooting caused 'consternation' among those present at the time. I would think that seeing someone get shot in the head would cause a slightly less lukewarm reaction than that; also, it's not clear whether the guy shot survived or was killed. Polyhymnia
