Baiu Mountains

Baiu Mountains (Romanian: Muntii / Muntele Baiu / Baiul / Bauilui) are mountains in central Romania. They are part of the Eastern Carpathians [1] (the eastern wing of the great Central Mountain System of Europe).

Size: 300 km2.

Elevation: Average height of 1110 meters (3643 ft) and maximum height of 1923 meters (6310 ft)in Neamţu Peak.

Limits: North – Azuga Valley, East – Doftana Valley, South – Posada Gorges, West – Prahova Valley.
