Bainbridge is a census-designated place (CDP) in Geauga County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2000 census, Bainbridge had a population of 3,417.

The first residents of Bainbridge were the McConougheys, who came from Blandford, Massachusetts. Many other settlers followed. In 1817, Bainbridge Township was established and named for a well-known naval hero of the War of 1812, Commodore William Bainbridge. The first housing subdivision, Lake Lucerne, opened in 1922. It is still one of the largest in Bainbridge today.

(41.395654, -81.335550)According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 3.4 square miles (8.9 km²), of which, 3.4 square miles (8.7 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (2.03%) is water.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 3,417 people, 1,261 households, and 978 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,013.5 people per square mile (391.5/km²). There were 1,301 housing units at an average density of 385.9/sq mi (149.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.25% White, 0.73% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.70% Asian, 0.32% from other races, and 0.91% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.61% of the population.
There were 1,261 households out of which 38.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.4% were non-families. 20.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.12.
The population is spread out with 28.1% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 24.5% from 25 to 44, 30.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.6 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $87,888, and the median income for a family was $96,803. Males had a median income of $67,188 versus $38,469 for females. The per capita income for the community was $38,229. About 1.7% of families and 2.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under age 18 and 9.6% of those age 65 or over.
