The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids (or, simply, The Bailey School Kids) is a best-selling children's book series by Marcia Thornton Jones and Debbie Dadey. Its main characters are a group of four children (Eddie, Howie, Liza, Melody) who suspect some persons in the stories are popular folk lore or fairy tale characters. For example, in one book they believe a man named Frank who resembles Frankenstein in appearance to actually be the Frankenstein creature himself. In other books they suspect persons to be mythical and folk lore characters such as elves, unicorns, mermaids, Santa Claus, leprechauns, Bigfoot, Cupid, vampires, Martians, werewolves, ghosts, angels, etc.

In each story, the person turns out to be someone fairly innocuous, which leads readers to only guess whether the person is the suspected being... (or not!)

There are 80+ books in the series, including Super Specials, Holiday Special Editions, the new BSK "Jr" chapter books series, and the spin-off Bailey City Monsters series for grades 2-4.

In 2008, Lucas INC. created a TV series called The Bailey School Kids. It is based on the Bailey School Kids books, except that the kids go to Bailey Middle School.

Eddie - A 7th grade dark-haired bully who hates school (especially teachers). Played by Adrian Wiggins.

Melody - A Brazilian 6th grade cool girl who is an all A student and hates Eddie. Played by Luara Coutchino.

Howie - An exagerational young 6th grader. Played by Lucas Haight.

Liza - A 6th grade girl who is very smart. Played by Caitlyn Benedick.

Mrs. Jeepers - A Transylvanian teacher who is first suspected as a vampire by the Bailey Kids.

This book will be turned into a musical by TheatreworksUSA. It will be called The Bailey School Kids. It will have the world premiere in the 2008 2009 touring season with TheatreworksUSA
