Baihetan Dam

Baihetan Dam is a large dam on the Jisha River, a tributary of the Yangtze River in Sichuan and Yunnan Province Southwest of China. It has 12 generators, each with generating capacity of 1,000 MW. The total generating capacity of the project is 12,000 MW. When finished, it will be the third largest dam in China and the fourth in the world.

Construction of the road to the dam already started and construction will start on 2009 and is going to complete on 2015.[1]
