Baie Norvégienne

The Baie Norvégienne is a small bay to the south east of the Péninsule Courbet, a vast peninsula constituting, the north east quarter of the Kerguelen Islands in the Indian Ocean.
The southern part of bay proves to be the northern coast of presqu'île du Prince de Galles, short peninsula prolonging the peninsula towards south-east until a course, it Cap Suzanne. The Western part digs as for it the Eastern coast of the peninsula which slips by towards Cap Ratmanoff, more in north.
It is in Baie Norvégienne, on a small island accessible to foot with low tide, the Matley small island, that is fall it from John Matley, deceased in Kerguelen on December 12, 1810. He was the captain of the sealing ship angais, the Duke of Portland.
