[edit] History

The Drakkar first played in the QMJHL in 1997. One of the founders of the team was former Quebec Nordique Marius Fortier. After two seasons where the team recorded only 17 and 18 victories, the Drakkar commenced a notable leap with seasons of 31, 41, 38 and 50 victories. Since this period, the Drakkar have been rebuilding. They have never won the President's Cup. NHL alumni include Marc-Andre Bergeron, Jean-Francois Jacques, Yanick Lehoux, Olivier Michaud, Joel Perrault, Patrick Thoresen and Bruno St. Jacques.
