[edit] License tagging for Image:F58 wiki.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:F58 wiki.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Violin. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Yes, I am learning about the Wikipedia ins and outs, policies and markup language as best and quick as time allows me! I have content and am adding it. I did not add the link to my website for any other reason that I think the authority on the subject of Violin my work has gained since first publication on paper in 1997, then online in 2000 warrants inclusion. Can we discuss this please? Thank you BAH 12:09, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Messages
Hi BAH, I have responded to your most recent message by email. I would like to let you know, however, that the way to get messages across to the people is not through the edit summaries of empty edits; that's what talk pages are for. —Mets501 (talk) 10:46, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Inclusion of your site in Violin article
I still think that your site doesn't merit inclusion in this article, as it really adds nothing that I can see to what the article already says. Besides, it is more about electric violins than anything else.
For that reason, I'd consider putting it in the electric violin article instead if I were you. +ILike2BeAnonymous 19:01, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
In response to your message to me, let me put it this way: you seem way too anxious to see your own site in lights here. Regardless of the value of your site, it looks and smells very much like self-promotion. If I were you, I'd wait until someone else puts your link in these articles. Otherwise, people are right to be suspicious; this site (Wikipedia) is full of crap that people put in merely to promote themselves. +ILike2BeAnonymous 17:22, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
