[edit] Biography

I was born and grew up in Upstate New York. I attended a public high school (Fonda-Fultonville Central School), having every intention of going to college and becoming a teacher. However, with the advent of the the war in Iraq, I chose to join the United States Marine Corps. My first unit was 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines, based on the MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, CA. We were deployed (almost right after I joined) to Ar Rumadi, Iraq for 7 months, where I took part in the Battle of Ramadi and Operation Vigilant Resolve in Fallujah. A year after returning home, I deployed as part of the Unit Deployment Program to the 3rd Battalion 12th Marines in Okinawa, Japan. After six months there, I returned to the States and moved into an apartment with my then-fiancee, Ashley. We got married August 26, 2007. I soon re-enlisted and recieved a transfer to Headquarters, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, at MCAS Cherry Point, NC. Today, I work in the G-4 at 2MAW.
